ABOUT ME
Meet Ren Feng, LICSW
I am passionate about my work as a therapist! I love the process of exploration and reflection in therapy and I enjoy collaborating with my clients to help them discover the solution to their concerns.
I received my education at Boston University and Simmons College. My clinical training began at Simmons College Counseling Center, where I developed a deep appreciation for relational-cultural therapy. In the following years, my clinical practice continued to grow and evolve. I was fortunate to be able to learn a great variety of therapy modalities and clinical skill sets, which provided me confidence and flexibility in my ability to support different clients and their various needs.
Among all of the therapy modalities that I have learned, Internal Family Systems (IFS) has been the most fundamental in shaping my current practice. I was thrilled when I discovered that I can support my clients through their most challenging experiences by helping them create and maintain a safer space within themselves where their pain can be witnessed and processed. After practicing IFS for years and getting positive feedback from clients, I decided to become a certified IFS therapist and center my practice around this approach.
In my practice, I value the therapeutic relationship in helping my clients cultivate a sense of safety, respect, and understanding. With warmth and openness, I work with adult individuals and couples who seek better relationships with others, and with themselves. Through a collaborative process, I help clients develop insights and skills to achieve their goals and improve their sense of hope and wellbeing. In addition to my clinical practice, I also greatly enjoy helping facilitate IFS training and providing consultation to fellow clinicians.
